Skin Checks

If you have 1-3 specific moles you want checked, he is happy to do that during an appointment which addresses other topics.

For a full body skin cancer check, we can provide these checks for our enrolled patients just like places like Molemap, Molecheck, Mole Screen etc, and at a much lower cost.

To have a full body check done, you need an appointment solely for the skin check, and to prepare appropriately:

• Please wear loose-fitting clothing that can be easily and quickly removed for the skin check
• So the face can be checked properly, you must not be wearing any makeup and should be clean shaven, certainly no more than stubble on the beard area

A full body skin check will take a full-length 15-minute appointment, so you must book for just this topic, and walk through the door saying “hello, I’m here for a full body skin cancer check and not for anything else.”

If you bring other topics to the appointment, the skin check will not occur that day and you will be asked to rebook for the necessary dedicated single purpose skin check appointment. You can book a double appointment, one for the skin check and one for other issues.

We have cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen), can prescribe common skin treatments of all kinds, and perform minor surgery including most skin cancer excisions on-site.

Skin excisions in some areas, for example the fingers, nose, ears or some parts of the face, will be referred to a plastic surgeon or other specialised surgeon on a case-by-case basis.
